(More customer reviews)Bought this 32,000 BTU unit because my 45,000 BTU radiant heater sounds like a jet engine and is difficult to talk over.My old unit has a mesh screen heating element, this one has ceramic plates and is extremely quiet.

It takes a couple minutes to reach full temp but once it does you'll bask in its warmth.In freezing cold weather, from 6 feet away you'll quickly get toasty, even too hot.. beyond that distance its a comfortable slow warmth.

I picked this up after seeing a contractor's old unit and being surprised at its quietness.He said he inherited it from his father and it was about 30 years old.. so I expect mine to have long lasting reliability.

Notes:There is no ignition and a spark lighter isn't recommended, the instructions say to use a flame.Also it is negatively affected by wind.
