You have the freedom to decide how much heat you need by being able to turn on one, two, or all three heat lamps at once. If you want more heat, you can even slide the heater down the pole closer to where you are sitting.It accommodates a 1.5" to 2" diameter umbrella pole so it fits the standard poles on the market.
