(More customer reviews)We bought this heater ~2 years ago, and it worked great!My husband got it out last weekend while we were having wine on the patio (we live in AZ, and it hasn't been that cold)!When we pushed the button to light, we got a flame, but after the "30 second hold time," when we let go, the flame would go out.Per the manual, there are 3 reasons this can happen.We eliminated two of them, the third was to replace the thermocouple.I called the company to find a dealer, since we can clean things, but not fix them.The representative told me that they don't keep a list of dealers, that I should contact anyone who fixes propane heaters.Uhh, Yeah, that's real easy here in AZ!I called our local BBQ store, and they will fix it if I order the part.So, I go to the website, click on "Parts & Accessories," voila, I get "this page no longer exists."Soooo, I email the company, and the best part is that I got a response within 30 minutes.The worst part is they have discontinued this heater, and they no longer have parts for it.So, if you are thinking about getting one - beware that it can't be fixed if it needs any parts.

Fluval Edge Heater - 25W Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the 25W Hagen Fluval Edge heater for the Fluval Edge 6 gallon aquarium through a seller for Amazon. No problem with the seller but the heater does NOT maintain the preset temperature of 78°. It maintains 75° at best in a room with an ambient temperature of 68° According to the tape-on Fluval Edge thermometer the water temperature is closer to 72° but I thought that was wrong, so I bought a better thermometer and it confirmed my suspicions. The heater does not keep the tank at 78° and this disallows keeping most tropical aquarium fish.

Again, the Fluval Edge thermometer is a waste all together. It does essentially nothing.

(More customer reviews)On the positive side, this is beautifully designed kettle and well constructed of stainless steel, which is what I was expecting after paying a whooping $179 for a kettle.
However if like me, you were willing to pay such a price for a mere kettle in the hope of having an all metal kettle with no plastic parts, you would be disappointed: the water level is metal; the filter is cheap plastic but it is removable; however the inside of the lid is a black plastic on which water condenses and this for me was unacceptable for this price range. I fail to understand manufacturers who can be so greedy on their profits so much so that they have to cut costs by substituting with cheap plastic even when asking for a premium price. Also kettle is made in China, so must not have cost Bodum half the asking price....For $50 I could find an all metal kettle with a few plastic points, so I had to return this kettle back. Not good enough, so until someone comes up with a kettle that takes into account the concerns of customers, I will have to wait and settle for a stovetop kettle...

(More customer reviews)I bought this heater thinking it was going to be decent since it has multiple heat settings and runs on electricity. I didn't want the slight inconvenience of having to get and fill a propane tank, let alone worry about the possibility of it running out while I'm using it.What a mistake! It truly is a worthless heater, and I can't imagine using it in a climate that gets below 60 and where there might be a chance of a slight breeze. It's clear to me now why it is advertised as being indoor/outdoor. I was using it in a sheltered area under my deck and could hardly feel the heat. My chair was 1.5' to 2' away from it, and I was still cold. I even asked my friend if I was being crazy about it not putting out heat and I was assured I wasn't.
I paid half price for mine and in my opinion that was still too much- I'm taking mine back.

Dayton G73 Electric Garage Heater With Built-In Thermostat Review

(More customer reviews)I haven't seen the electric bill yet so I'm giving this heater 5 stars.I had previously bought one of the propane Reddy Heaters (RLP50VA see my review on that) to heat my garage but that heater was completely unsuitable for that task.This one is perfect, it heats up the garage quickly and is quiet and clean.It is a 240v heater and requires a hardwired installation so is a little bit of a pain but I wired everything up and had an electrician friend come check out my work before I turned it on and all was OK.Needed a 30A dual pole circuit breaker and 10/2 wire along with a junction box and flexible connecting cable but it was worth the effort!My garage is a garage under (standard Colonial) 26x22 so the ceiling is insulated but nothing else is.Living in NH, a heated garage for working on the cars is pretty much a necessity and I would recommend this heater highly.

(More customer reviews)My wife loves a good cup of tea and in the past, we just left the kettle on very low heat on the stove.The other night I came home to the smell of gas.The breeze had blown out the flame and my wife, who had a really bad cold, was upstairs and could not smell the gas.

Time to get something a bit safer while we still had a house!After some research, we ordered this electric kettle (to the joy of my wife's British friends who think we are barbarians for not having one.)

I was astounded at how fast this thing heats water, maybe 5 minutes for a mostly full pot from tap-cold to full rolling boil.

The automatic shut-off works perfectly (and has a small light so youneed not guess if it is off or on) and we no longer need to worry about errant gas fumes and whistling kettles.

The kettle is well-made, attractive and seems to be sturdy and definitely works a treat.Get one and you won't be dissappointed.Needs a three-prong outlet, so make sure you can use it first.Sides do get hot but the handle stays properly cool and the safety lid works very nicely with no drops or leaks that I have seen.
